Fine quality, brighter color than expected : Jacquard Triplelayer Pashmina Shawl Wrap Stole Scarf (DM)
Triple-layer, pashmina + silk, and lovely designs? I had to at least try it despite the mixed reviews. I ordered three pashminas:
BB (red paisley) - for me
BM (black paisley) - for my best friend
BQ (green paisley) - for my cousin
The black paisley is actually labeled as 100% pashmina and the other two 55% pashmina + 45% silk. I don't know which is supposed to be better. Pashmina and silk are both fine materials so it doesn't really matter to me.
Anyway, as to the negative reviewers for this item, I have to say that yes, the colors are more muted in person than in the pictures, but if you look at the pictures you can tell they have added brightness and contrast. This is somewhat deceptive, but you can tell by looking at the picture that this was the case, so I was not expecting them to be that bright. However I do agree with other reviewers about the sticky residue that is left when you remove the label. Not sure how I'm going to get that off.
As for the quality, I cannot say anything negative there. They are soft and warm, everything you would want in a pashmina. Finally, they are standard length and width for a pashmina. I have no idea why anyone would have a hard time getting one around their neck as one reviewer mentioned. I wrap mine around my shoulders and waist without a problem.
I am very satisfied with this purchase and I feel good about giving them as gifts. I would recommend them.
